New products are developed from reliable industrial processes. This course deals with three types of technologies which are essential in supporting integrated design approaches: risk management and uncertainties, innovation techniques and rapid product development techniques.
• Pilot a product development project and deal with technical risks • Master the product development cycle • Allow for innovation in the design project (innovative techniques, choice of materials) • Master some of the rapid product development technologies (retro-design, multi-sensory simulations, rapid prototyping)

Practical work (6 x 1.5 hours):
• Rapid prototyping and retro-design (3 hours): setting up 'stratoconception' on the machine and a 3D scanner (PM,PMB) • Using material databases (6h)
