Goal(s)
• Make progress in skills which are needed for communicating in different real-life situations.
• Know about topical issues and current events of the country/ies of the target language.
• Improve and widen lexical knowledge in various different domains.
• Learn more about the cultural aspects of the country/ies of the language studied.
Content(s)
• Presentation of an artistic creation: music, painting, architecture, film, advertising + a debate on a work open to discussion/interpretation or a debate on a controversial subject.
• Or presentation of a press review + a debate.
• Or a TV news presentation + a debate.
• Write up a short report on the operator internship carried out earlier in the year.
The skills aimed at are the following:
• Listening techniques, spoken production and spoken interaction.
• Launching and managing a debate/discussion and controlling the time limits.
• Being polite and diplomatic during debates/discussions when expressing agreement and/or disagreement.
• Exchanging personal opinions with others.
• Reading and writing skills + note-taking
• Writing a short report on an internship (300 words).
Must have met the assessment requirements of the first semester (S1).
Continuous assessment (CC) = based on class activities, attendance, class and language laboratory participation
E1 = Final written exam from 1st exam period : comprehension of oral and written documents, essay, grammar and vocabulary exercises. Oral exam.
E2 = Written or oral exam from 2nd exam period
N1 = Final mark from 1st exam period
N2 = Final mark from 2nd exam period
N1 = 0,7*CC + 0,3*E1
N2 = 0,7*CC + 0,3*E2
