An international student

Every year Génie industriel hosts foreign students from all over the world for either a term or sometimes for a whole year. Here's what our students think about Grenoble INP.

Why study at Génie industriel?

  • Long established reputation - our school has firmly established a reputation for excellence over the past 20 years both in France and abroad. This is especially due to its unique industrial engineering courses.
  • International experience - the courses have a strong international emphasis: approximately 20 nationalities present at the school and just over 20% of the students are foreigners. Industrial placements and study overseas are highly recommended; having practical experience and international language skills boosts graduate employment prospects.
  • Broad education and training - courses are multidisciplinary, including 60% engineering courses and 40% Social & Human Sciences (such as Economics, Management, Sociology, Communication and Language-learning...).
  • Research - the most renowned centre in the industrial engineering domain. Students will be taught by expert lecturers who are up to date with the latest industry developments in their subject areas. Access to advanced laboratories and national and international networks.
  • Partnerships with companies - partnership network of 500 companies and an 'Industrialists Club' (Club des Industriels). This club groups a few well-known businesses who actively participate in the school by helping develop courses, sharing expertise, offering internships and employment.
  • A great social life - our students 'work hard and play hard' in the fantastic location of Grenoble in the French Alps - one of Europe's most dynamic student cities. There is access to numerous clubs and societies not to mention all the extra-curricular activities available in the area.
  • Excellent graduate employment record - 60% of graduates find a job as soon as they graduate and 40% within only a few months of graduating.
