Goal(s)

This project consists in conducting an innovation approach.

Students will work on an industrial issue in a multidisciplinary group to come up with an idea (product or service) by following the Design Thinking method.

Content(s)

The project follows the Design Thinking's 3I process (Inspire, Ideate, Implement):

  • Day 1: Exploration
  • Day 2: Creativity
  • Day 3: Prototyping
  • Day 4: Testing
  • Day 5: Presentation

Daily activities are conducted in a group of 10 to 12 students that sometimes is devided into subgroups for parallel tasks.

Deliverables include :

  • Deliverable 1: Problem statement
  • Deliverable 2: Summary of existing knowledge
  • Deliverable 3: 6 ideas
  • Deliverable 4: 3 business model Canvas (1 per selected idea)
  • Deliverable 5: individual feedback

Prerequisites

Engineering design including:

  • needs and functional analysis
  • rapid prototyping
  • sketching

Test

Final defence by group
Individual written synthesis

N1 : Evaluation des idées en fin de semaine de l'innovation.
N2 : Présentation finale avec une synthèse des besoins, des idées, des tests et de l'intégration des résultats dans une deuxième boucle d'innovation basée sur la démarche du Design Thinking.

Note finale = 60% N1 + 40% N2
