Since 2003, Product Lifecycle Management International Conference (PLM IC) brings together researchers, developers and users of Product Lifecycle Management. It aims to integrate business approaches to the collaborative creation, management and dissemination of product and process data throughout the extended enterprises that create, manufacture and operate engineered products and systems. The Conference aims at involving all stakeholders of the wide concept of PLM, hoping to shape the future of this field and advance the science and practice of enterprise development.

Starting 2009, PLM IC became the official conference of the IFIP Working Group WG 5.1 “Global Product development for the whole lifecycle”, a group of scientific and industrial experts active in the field of product development and engineering, under the big umbrella of IFIP (International Federation for Information Processing, www.ifip.org) society.

Indeed, health, environmental and social crisis lead to a deep transitions period. It makes sense to discuss how PLM will face these transitions. This year the conference will pay attention on the "PLM in transition times: the place of humans and transformative technologies". PLM22 International Conference, the 19th edition of the conference, will be hosted by University Grenoble Alpes and Grenoble-INP, at Grenoble, France on, July 10th-13th 2022.
