How to apply to the SIE Master's Degree

Who can apply


Students wishing to apply to the SIE Master program must hold a Bachelor of Science, a Bachelor of Engineering Degree, or one of the following degrees:
 
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Supply Chain, Operations Management, Logistics and Transportation, Operational Research
  • Manufacturing Science, Product Design, Product Development, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering
  • Computer Science, Information Systems

Please submit your application via the following "FSA" links:
APPLICATION Master Sustainable Industrial - 1st year
APPLICATION Master Sustainable Industrial - 2nd year
if MSc in Industrial Engineering, or equivalent and B2 minimum level of French.
The "FSA" application platform will be open from December 14, 2020, until May 15, 2021.

If you are a citizen of one of the countries stated below, you must also apply with FSA and "Etudes en France" :

Steps to apply

The "FSA" application platform will be open from December 14, 2021, until May 15, 2021.

Your application file will be examined during the Academic Accreditation Examinations Board Meetings (see Agenda below).
If you are eligible, you will be invited to an eligibility interview (using video conferencing if you are abroad).

Application files must be submitted online at least one week before each Examinations Board Meeting to be considered.

Visa

All foreign students must obtain a visa.

Registration Fees

Students from outside the EU: 5000 €/ year (National fees 3770 € + Specific fees 1230 €) + 92 € "Student and campus life contribution"
European students: 1473 €/year (National fees 243 € + Specific fees 1230 €) + 92 € "Student and campus life contribution"

To be taken into account! In France, the living costs for students are about 700 € per month.

Coming into effect of differentiated fees for the academic year 2021/2022.
The rule incurring the payment of differentiated fees by non-E.U. students will come into effect at the beginning ot the academic year 2021-2022.
This rule will also apply to students who were registered at other Grenoble Alpes University institutions in 2020/2021, and who wish to register at Grenoble INP in 2021/2022.
The total amount of the owed registration fees is not necessarily to be paid at the beginning of the academic year: an instalment plan of payment may be set up.
If your personal situation justifies it, a partial or total exemption may be decided upon request to the Student Social Commission.

Scholarship

Various scholarships are available. Please find below the links to inquire and apply : We draw your attention to the fact that very few scholarships are awarded each year:
We will study your results and, if your level allows it, we will direct your file towards the most suitable scholarship.

Language

As courses are taught in English, minimum level of English is required : B2 (+ minimum level of French required B2 for a 2nd year application).
If you are not in a position to provide a valid English proficiency test, IEM will pay for a Linguaskill test.
Other English proficiency certificates are also accepted: LINGUASKILL, TOEFL, TOIC, IELTS, CLES.

Official University certificates are accepted to attend the Master program, BUT NOT to validate the Master degree course (at the end of the 2-year-program).
French is not mandatory in order to take SIE courses. However, you may get enrolled in French courses throughout the whole academic year.
We draw your attention to the fact that the command of French will turn out very useful when you will start seeking for an Internship.

Academic Year

Courses run from September to July.
A 6-month-Internship is required during the 2nd Year, from February to July.
