ECTS 6.0
Goal(s)
- Understanding the challenges of integrating several different disciplines in engineering design
- Understanding the multi-disciplinary nature of quality-focused industrial design
- Knowing design methods for integrated design
- Knowing design methods for the integrated design of mechatronics products
- Knowing design methods used especially in the automotive industry
Content(s)
Integrated Design of mechatronics products based on:
- Automotive SPICE® (ISO/IEC 33000): Integrated quality design process of mechatronic systems (mechanics, electronics, software).
- Functional Safety (ISO 26262): Integrated design for the achievement of Functional Safety requirements.
- Design for Six Sigma: Integrated Design with a focus on the reliability and robustness of products and production processes.
Basic knowledge of the product design process of connected mechatronics products (smart products, CPS)
- Individual work (work from lectures and preparation work for tutorials): 40 hours.
- First exam period: Multiple Choice Question Exam. (50%)
The mark will take into account the quality of the exercises (50%) - Second exam period: oral exam
50% continuous control (group work, same grade for each group member)
50% individual exam (online MCQ)
