Goal(s)

To understand the various technologies used in the manufacture of metal parts.
To be able to incorporate the specific characteristics of conventional manufacturing processes into the design.
To select the appropriate manufacturing technologies for producing a part from a definition drawing.
To understand the design requirements that enable a metal part to be manufactured using one of the four major metalworking technologies studied.
To be able to assess the environmental impacts of implementing a technical solution.
