Goal(s)
This course complements the course on Manufacturing Processes of Mechanical Parts by presenting recent developments in the fields of production and simulation.
This course covers 3 main research topics which are developed in the G-SCOP laboratory :
• The use of additive manufacturing technologies and especialy design for additive manufacturing
• Modelling dynamic phenomena caused by a manufacturing process
• Evaluating the environmental impact of manufacturing processes
At the end of this course, students are able to:
• Predict the vibrational behaviour of a machining system
• Select and set up an additive manufacturing technology and design the parts according to the constraints of this technology
• Evaluate the environmental impact of manufacturing processes
Content(s)
Lectures (34 x 1.5 hours):
• Dynamic of machining system
• Additive Manufacturing Techniques
• Design for Additive Manufacturing Technologies
Practical work (12 hours):
• Manufacturing using Additive Technology
• Measureing vibration machining
Industrial interventions
General Mechanics, knowledge of basic production technologies (moulding, injection moulding, forging, turning, milling).
