Goals

Semester 1 (Fall)

  • To master the language and the various techniques of oral communication (to debate, to express an opinion,
    a recommendation…)
  • Master the fast or follow-up reading in the original language in order to understand all types of
    Documents from a variety of sources.
  • Know how to write communication materials.
  • Ability to develop effective presentations.
  • Know how to use critical thinking and general knowledge to enrich written communication
    And oral in the English language.

Content

Content of the semester course 1

  • Imagine the development and launch of a product or service taking into account the imperatives of sustainable development, with a view to a product fair to be organized at the school in English.
  • Knowledge of market analysis and marketing in English
  • Creation of various supports (posters, flyers, Power Point presentations ...)
  • Effectively write an English summary.
  • Autonomous program training.
  • Proficiency in scientific English: study of the chapters of the book Minimum Competence in Scientific English
  • Autonomous preparation for library and language laboratory tests (semester 2: BULATS)
  • Passage of the BULATS test

Tests

Continuous assessment (CC) - CC note does not catch up: program activities, assiduity and participation in classroom and language laboratory, control of acquisitions

Assessment session 1 (E1) = written exam: oral and written document comprehension, essay, vocabulary exercises and grammar (course and Minimum Competence in Scientific English)

Assessment session 2 (E2) = written exam oral and written document comprehension, essay, vocabulary exercises and grammar (course and Minimum Competence in Scientific English)

N1 = 30% E1 + 70% CC
