Goals

English for Industrial Engineering
• Objectives
Semester
• To master the language and the various techniques of oral communication (to debate, to give an opinion, a recommendation ...)
• Ability to master fast reading or follow-up in the original language to understand all types of material from a variety of sources.
• Ability to write communication materials.
• Ability to develop effective presentations.
• To use his / her critical and general knowledge to enrich his / her written and oral communication in English language and his reflection on the major issues of the contemporary world.
• Develop a job search strategy in English
• Developing debate techniques
• Methodology: ability to present comments and analysis in a coherent and effective manner

Content

• Theater & work on voice
• Organization of debates according to Oxford rules
• Analysis of the journalistic discourse and writing of articles (facts, comments, argumentative strategies ...)

Prerequisites

Breakdown into level groups (from B1 to C1):

Tests

25% written evaluation:
written document comprehension, essays, vocabulary exercises and grammar
75% Oral exam: continuous control (program activities, attendance and participation in classroom and listening comprehensions.
