Goals
Mastery of English and the various techniques of oral communication. In semester 2, intercultural communication will be our learning base. We will focus on two major communicators in this field: Dr. Fons Trompenaars & Geert Hofstede. The following skills will be developed:
- Master the quick or follow-up reading in the original language in order to understand all types of documents taken from various sources of information.
- Know how to write communication materials.
- Ability to develop effective presentations.
- Know how to use critical and general knowledge to enrich written and oral communication in English.

Content
- Methodology: The need for not only cultural sensitivity but intercultural intelligence has never been greater. Language skills are only an advantage, but effective communication is a real competitive advantage not only with language, but also understanding attitudes, values, motivations and behaviors of other cultures. Learning written English, organized in coherent paragraphs on an event addressing cultural, economic or social problems, respecting the codes of organization of the paragraphs and the discourse.
- Communication techniques: how to make an oral presentation in English, organizing slides in a way that makes them more effective, improving verbal and non-verbal communication (speech, flow, gestures ...) To make it more percussive.
- Autonomous training of the language and cultural training program.
- Autonomous & in-class preparation for BULATS.
Prerequisites Level B1 minimum
Breakdown into level groups (from B1 to C1): students will pass an entrance test
Tests Continuous assessment : you will not be able to redo classroom assessments such as: program activities, assiduity and participation in classroom and language laboratory, control of acquisitions.
Please note: if you have 3 unjustified absences you will receive 0/20 for your entire English grade. Also note that this will affect your LV2 grade and your sport grade!!
Assessment session 1 (E1) =
25% - written exam: book report.
75%- OralPresentations and communication in class
Assessment session 2 (E2) =
25% - written exam: book report.
75%- OralPresentations and communication in class
N1 = final note session 1
N2 = final note session 2
N1 = 0,7*CC + 0,3*E1
N2 = E2
