Lectures • Introduction: project concepts, project defining, project management • Project Organisation Breakdown Structure (OBS): client/owner, project manager, suppliers • Project structure: breakdown the projects' life-cycles into phases • Projects and company organisation • Definition of deliverables and product organisational structure: Product Breakdown Structure (PBS) into different tasks, task organisational structure Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) scheduling • PERT and GANTT workload concept, resource allocation, levelling and smoothing the workload, risk management of projects (identifying, analysing, circumstances, seriousness of the situation...) • Product quality, carrying out and monitoring projects, reporting, monitoring chart, cost control • Project risk management
Tutorial work on MS Project: • Project structuring and planning: study case followed up by a given project • Exercise summarising the whole course based on the AFITEP (Association Francophone de Management de Projet) certification examinations.
Assessment • Final exam 75% • Continuous assessment based on practical work 25%
