Goal(s)
The operator internship is an internship or contract that allows students to work in an operational position, based on a horizontal division of tasks and the implementation of formalised procedures. The operator internship has three objectives
- to offer students their first working experience in a company/industrial environment
- to allow them to experience an operational job before taking on managerial positions
- to give them the opportunity to develop the C1 skill ‘Analysing an industrial situation’ by using the methods and tools addressed in the first-year courses
Content(s)
TTo feed their proof of C1 skill ‘Analysing an industrial situation’, students will collect data throughout their internship, using the thematic observation grids and semi-structured interview guides that they will have developed.
At the end of their internship, the students will be able to write a proof of C1 competence, based on three records.
Record No. 1, on the context of the internship, will present factual information such as the company's turnover, the number of sites, the job title, the main mission of the internship, etc.
Records 2 and 3 will be made up of two thematic analysis grids to be chosen among the six available on the following topics:
- the workstation
- the collective dimension of work
- physical flows
- information flows
- manufacturing techniques
- degree of task automation
For each analysis grid, students will answer the corresponding questions and summarise their observations in the format(s) indicated. The methodological tools used (interview guide and observation grid) will be included in the appendix.
