At the end of this course, the students are introduced to the main techniques of project management and planning according to the PMI and AFITEP standards. They will be able to:

  • Structure a project using tools such as OBS, PBS and WBS.
  • Plan the different tasks of a project (in terms of time and resources) using tools such as PERT and GANTT
  • Analyze the risks associated to a project using the probability / impact matrix
  • Monitor a project according to several indicators (workload, costs, etc.)
  • Plan and monitor a project with MS Project software

Content

Lectures (6 h):
Introduction, concepts and definition of project and project management
Structuring of a project: OBS, PBS and WBS
Project planning in terms of time: PERT and GANTT
Project planning in terms of ressources: concept of workload, allocation of resources, management of overloads (leveling and smoothing)
Project risk analysis: probability / impact matrix
Project monitoring and management, reporting and dashboard
Project quality and cost control

Tutorials (9 h):
Structuring of a project: OBS, PBS and WBS
Project planning in terms of time: PERT and GANTT
Project planning in terms of workload: concept of workload, allocation of resources, costs calculation
Project risk analysis: probability / impact matrix

Practical works with MS Project and Microsoft Excel (4.5 h):
Project planning in terms of time: the GANTT chart
Project planning in terms of workload: resource allocation, overload management (leveling and smoothing)
Project monitoring and management, reporting and dashboard
Monitoring and controlling costs

Tests

Two grades contribute to the final score (NF):

  • Final exam score (NE) for 50%
  • Tutorials and practical works score (NT) for 50%

NF = 0,5*NE + 0,5*NT

Pour valider cette UE, chaque composante de la Note Finale (NF) doit être supérieure à 0.
To validate this course, each component of the final score (NF) must be greater than 0.
Cette pondération est compatible avec une organisation des enseignements et des examens en distanciel

Calendar
